Paper Cranes for Japan

Posted by thekellytang On 8:43 AM
So I'm really excited to finally see this project come full circle. I organized the Paper Cranes for Japan campaign that happened at my school.  And we donated about 2000 cranes to the cause!

Basically the goal for the Students Rebuild program would donate $1 for every paper crane received and was matched with another $1 by the Bezos Family Foundation. And it would be donated to the reconstruction of Japan! Originally their goal was to receive 100,000 cranes, they ended up getting 2 million cranes from 38 countries! And $500,000 was donated to rebuilding Japan! :D

And now they've created a wonderful, beautiful and amazing piece of art with the help of Vik Munz! And isn't it absolutely brilliant! It is not just some piece of art, its a collaboration and creation of something greater. It signifies the united front of students and people from around the world creating something beautiful for a greater cause. And I am so grateful to have been a part of that!

Poster's can be purchased for $30 of this wonderful design, and the proceeds will benefit Japan in their rebuilding efforts! To purchase one click here!

I cannot wait to see what Students Rebuild come up with next! Whatever it is, it will surely be a success! This just gives me good feelings all around, and gives me hope about this world. :)

IN OTHA NEWS:
<3 I know you've probably already heard about the earthquake, but um.. say what?.. on the east coast of US! Say what? haha.. no but seriously it makes me rethink the way I treat the environment because this is some freak weather we've been having. lol.
<3 And I just want to let you know, that I've started to put ads up. Because unfortunately I have yet to find a job, and as of right now, I am a fashion blogger/fashion designer. But hopefully this will change soon, because I've been applying again! :) So I'm trying to remain hopeful. But I wanted to let you all know because my readers are the most important people!! :) But if you haven't you should check out the indiestylemedia ad exchange because you can advertise your blog for free there!

<3 THANK YOU TO ALL MY FOLLOWERS! I can't really sustain this blog without everyone's love and support! I really appreciate it so much! <3 Yay for 77 followers via GR & bloglovin. <3
