Hey, isn't this supposed to be a post about DC Restuarant week?.. well yes, but I'll just insert an outfit post too! haha. 2941 had a beautiful view and a koi fish pond too! And I fell in love with it. I'm wearing an h&m dress, with a belt from Korea(worn backwards intentionally), and wedges from Nordstrom Rack(definitely a look for less)! More about the food behind the cut!
By far my favorite restaurant in terms of food, service and ambiance! I started off with the Pate de Campagne, it has been a while since I've had Pate, and how I have missed it. It was deliciously paired with house made pickles that really balanced the taste of the Pate. Exquisite. My entree were the day boat sea scallops. okay, the photo I took above, doesn't give justice to this dish at all! It consisted of four large scallops with onion and tomato sauce under neath with a basil salad! Wow, this makes me want to go back to 2941 like right now!! And to top it all off, as if it couldn't get even better, there yummy and not to sweet, but sweet chocolate molten cake with fudge inside. I mean look at it, its adorable and yummy, how many times can you say that the dessert at a "fancy" restaurant is actually delectable! lol, no seriously though!
And on top of that they had this beautiful koi pond that was just so peaceful, I love looking at fishes, I used to want to be a marine biologist! PS my mom took that last picture of me, clearly you can see me really well! :) LOL.
ALSO : 2941 has extended the DC Restaurant Week to August 26! So make a reservation as soon as possible! Ah! :)
I am loving that fall is coming, I can't wait for the sweltering heat to go away! Let the perfect fall weather begin!! :D
