I want to introduce a new part of my blog which is the Fashionable Cause post! This is where I feature products that give back to charities or people directly. I truly believe that fashion can have a conscience and that it can be helpful rather than harmful!
I just discovered these amazing bags from Fashion, Love, Africa!! They are hand knit from plastic bags! All bags are hand knit by women who live in the Giota Grabage Slums in Africa. I love that they are able to give these women a consistent income, while utilizing the materials that are surrounding them: plastic bags, and creating something beautiful! Not to mention with every bag purchase $10 "goes back to the slum by way of projects that help with medical aid, relocation, and child sponsorship."And honestly, look at them, there colorful, beautiful and stylish! I absolutely love the aqua color! And PS the names of the bags ie the Ruth bag, are the names of the woman who made them! Just amazing!
