And I've been soaking up books like I've never done before. Here are my favorite reads so far:
<3 If you have to cry, go outside and Normal gets you Nowhere by Kelly Cutrone - She is amazing, if you want to be empowered, inspired and motivated read it. She's honest, straight forward and just amazing. I'm not exactly great at describing books but Kelly Cutrone is definetely one of my kindred spirits. She really keeps it real, and says it like it is.
<3 Fabulosity by Kimora Lee Simmons - Another power lady, who I admire for her business know how and attitude. She reminds us that we deserve the best, and should get the best of whatever we do. And that its important to be smart about things, including money, and the way you treat others.
Currently Reading:
<3 I am most definetely enjoying this book right now! It's Think by Lisa Bloom. She really makes me personally feel uneducated and that American culture, people and especially women are really dumbing down. And I completely agree with her, because she gives straight facts, that are evident in everyones surroundings and observations. And this may seem like a "funny" topic but it really brings light to a very serious topic that leads to larger problems. I'm still reading it, but I am in love with her sarcasm and her straight-forwardness. Please read this if you don't want to let America get dumber!
I just realized that all the books I've been reading are written by powerful and successful women. Its just a coincidence really. But it just shows, that maybe we should change up the people we're looking up to. And not just celebrities, but people who actually care to make a difference in the world.
So what's on your reading list?
I love the read. A lot. Lately, I've been reading everything that sounds interesting. :)It's so relaxing! :D

if you haven't read "the host" by stephanie meyer, you definitely should! yes, she wrote the twilight series, but her style in "the host" is COMPLETELY different and absolutely riveting!

I've been wanting to read Kelly Cutrone's books but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
My reading list is filled with all of the books I own but have yet to read...mostly classic literature and a couple of Haruki Murakami books.

Thanks for the lovely comment! Im currently reading franny and Zooey by jd Salinger. I've been meaning to read it and it does not disappoint. I always love a writer who can make a simple conversation interesting and not just have all the fluff of unnecessary characters and plot lines.
I think I'll have to go find the Lisa bloom book very soon. Even though America has things going for it, I so feel we are so sorely lacking in the cultural experiences and open mindedness of some other countries. We have a lot to learn.
